Search Intent

The search intent is the reason why a user conducts a search. It is the purpose behind a user's search to find something specific. For the same search intent, a user may use several different keywords (search terms).
Search Intent in Google Search
Example: A user is looking for general information about search engine optimization. The search intent in this case is to find general information. However, different users with the same information needs might use different words (keywords) in the search engine. One searcher enters "search engine optimization," while another uses "SEO." Both terms have the same search intent and, therefore, require only one landing page. Creating two landing pages for this purpose would be wrong, as it may lead to a phenomenon known as keyword cannibalization, causing a negative impact on your rankings.
Tip: KingCON SEO Content Tool simplifies the process of finding all keywords related to a specific search intent, helping you avoid keyword cannibalization.
For each search intent relevant to your offering, you should have a dedicated landing page, and in some cases, even a separate website.
